BSQ Indecent Images Blog - BSQ Client Receives Community Order in Indecent Images Prosecution

indecent images prosecutions

A recent BSQ private client has received a community order following a guilty plea in a prosecution for downloading indecent images.

BSQ partner Roger Sahota represented W, an IT professional charged with downloading illegal material onto his devices. This material was discovered after police obtained a search warrant to seize items from his home premises. The results of the police forensic analysis of the devices revealed incontrovertible evidence that W had committed the offence of “making” indecent images.

W was represented by BSQ partner Roger Sahota throughout. Roger also represented W at his sentencing before the Magistrates.

As the charges against W did not feature any Category A images BSQ were unusually able to persuade the Magistrates court not only to retain jurisdiction but that a community order rather than a suspended sentence was the proper sentence.

Roger has a specialist niche in representing professional clients facing indecent images charges. You can read more about our practice specialisation here.
