BSQ partner Daniel Godden is one of a handful of solicitors practitioners appointed as a contributor to the latest edition of the Blackstone’s Criminal Practice. Blackstones is one of the authoritative texts relied on by practitioners and judges alike in the criminal courts. Daniel is responsible for compiling and updating the section of the text dealing with police powers.

Daniel specialises in serious white-collar crime cases including SFO investigations.

Daniel’s appointment reflects the firms expertise in challenging police pre-charge investigated measures – BSQ has featured in a number of the leading cases where restraint orders and search warrants have been quashed in the course of business crime investigations. BSQ was also instructed in one of the first account freezing order precedent cases.
