Third Consecutive Acquittal For 2023 In Privately Funded Sexual Allegations for BSQ Partner

BSQ Partner and head of our private crime department, Roger Sahota has secured the acquittal of a businessman of good character accused of two counts of sexual assault in a privately funded case.

Our client denied the allegations made against him and maintained that any sexual contact between him and the complainant was consensual. After an eight- day trial, he was unanimously acquitted of both counts before the Warwick Crown Court.

This is the third consecutive acquittal in 2023 for Mr Sahota in privately funded cases defending professionals accused of sexual misconduct.

In April 2023 BSQ client B, a business professional, was acquitted of charges before the Snaresbrook Crown Court after a 11 day trial.

In June 2023 BSQ secured the discontinuance of a long running sexual prosecution three weeks before trial at Chester Crown Court on behalf of M, an education professional.
